Hi Y’all! »giggles«
I’m pleased that you stopped by my site. What started as a “fan” blog for country wedding news has begun to turn into a resource for brides wishing to walk down the aisle. Or, in my case the old apple orchard lane.
I made my big trip in 2012 getting married in front of the “ancient” apple tree that I had played in since I was small. The symmetry almost made me cry since I met the strong hardworking man (then just a boy) there. We played together under the tree from years, we experienced our first kiss there and our initials are carved into the trunk.
It was all so perfect. And I wanted to share that with other women.
What I learned from the experience was that there were not a lot of resources then. And while I searched high and low there was little help to be had in organizing a country wedding. I was surprised, but wasted little time trying to remedy the situation. In that Fall of that year I started a MoveableType blog (now defunct) and tried my hand at blogging.
I found the process slow and tasking, but the more that I did it, the better I became. Still something wasn’t quite right. And after the birth of our first son I had to put the attempt on hold.
It wasn’t until this year that I started again from scratch. This site is my second attempt and I’m as excited as you are.
As an added bonus, my sister Bec has agreed to help me out this time. She walked down the aisle last Summer and so she has some things to share as well. If you have ideas or suggestions to help improve the site you should drop us a line. We’re more than willing to try and help you find what you’re looking for.
